About the role
Councils Arts & Culture Department is looking for a Team Leader Functions who will be responsible for high quality front of house service delivery.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking the planning and delivery of meetings, functions and events;
- Managing the rosters of the Hospitality Team; and
- Ensuring provision of high quality hospitality & function services and a safe, welcoming environment for Council, staff, presenters and clients.
This is a full-time position.
As the successful candidate, you will be able to lead the delivery of functions and hospitality staff and provide venue infrastructure management for events. You will be able to operate in all customer service areas that involve interacting with function guests from the moment they walk into the door and until the guests leave.
Additionally, you will be able to demonstrate:
- High level experience in leadership, staff supervision and staff rostering;
- Comprehensive knowledge of functions, event catering and food & beverage preparation techniques;
- Industry experience in developing and maintaining a high-quality hospitality team; and
- High level of experience with event supervision.

This position is a Band 5 currently remunerated between $76,859 to $88,285 per annum plus superannuation.
