About the position

An exciting new opportunity exists in the Project Delivery team of our Information Technology Department where you will apply your Business Process Analyst skills to ensure the sound delivery of Council IT projects and system improvements.

The main responsibilities will include: 

  • Providing a full range of business analysis activities with an emphasis on a software development lifecycle across Information Technology;
  • Acting as an intermediary between business stakeholders and the technical team to ensure sound delivery of Council IT projects and system improvements;
  • Acting as a Subject Matter Expert on new systems for implementation and operational handover;
  • Assisting project managers with developing change management plans for technology projects; and
  • Contributing to the Project Delivery team business analysis maturity by championing Business Analysis best practice.

This is a full-time role working 38 hours per week, until 30 April 2024

About you

As he preferred candidate, you will have:

  • Sound knowledge of data and business analytics;
  • The ability to absorb, understand and quickly assimilate complex information and concepts and compare information from a number of different sources;
  • The ability to build and maintain effective relationships;
  • The ability to simplify technical terminology when required to support stakeholder understanding;
  • Exemplary written and oral communication skills and the ability to present professional and technical matters to a range of audiences and to facilitate complex conversations; and
  • A growth mindset approach for business analysis and model a positive team culture.

This position is a Band 6 currently remunerated between $93,402 to $102,605 per annum plus superannuation. Salary level will be based on the experience level of the candidate. Overtime will also be paid as required.
