About the position

Council’s City Works Department is looking for a Maintenance Assistant who will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing council’s infrastructures and assets, throughout Frankston municipality in accordance with works and management programs.

The main responsibilities will include: 

  • Perform all civil infrastructure maintenance tasks and repairs
  • Easement Inspections works, construction and drainage maintenance
  • Cleaning activities across all of Civil Infrastructure maintenance works

About you

  • Construction or trades related industry experience, with knowledge and skills in Drainage, roads and signage maintenance.
  • Ability to prioritise and plan own work, with independent thinking & problem solving skills and the ability to work individually or as part of a team.
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Experience in the use of a variety of tools, plant and mechanical equipment relating to civil maintenance

This position is a Band 2 currently remunerated between $61,852.84 to $63,644.50 per annum, plus superannuation. Salary level will be based on the experience level of the candidate. Overtime will also be paid as required.
