About the Position

Council's Community Services and Support Department is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Educators (Certificate III) to join the team at Mahogany Rise Child and Family Centre on a casual basis.

As a Casual Assistant Educator, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of high-quality education and care programs, contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where children can learn, develop, and thrive.

The main responsibilities will include:

• Working collaboratively with educators and other team members to support the implementation of education and care programs that enhance children's learning and development.
• Providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports each child's health, wellbeing, safety, and individual needs.
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Assisting in the day-to-day operation of the service and contributing to a positive team culture.
• Supporting the delivery of a quality service that is accessible, flexible, and responsive to the needs of children, families, and the community.

This is a casual position, offering flexible work opportunities to support service operations as required.

About You

As the successful candidate you will have:

• Hold a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent recognised qualification) in accordance with the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011.
• Hold a current Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting qualification (or be willing to obtain).
• Demonstrated knowledge of the National Quality Framework, including the National Quality Standard and Early Years Learning Framework.
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• A commitment to providing high-quality education and care within a child-safe environment.

This position is a Band 3A currently remunerated at $44.06 per hours, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
