About the position

Council’s Capital Works Department is looking for a senior project manager who will be responsible for delivering Council's capital works projects assigned to civil Infrastructure team. 

The main responsibilities will include: 

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage Council's capital works projects across multiple sites of Frankston City Council maintaining a strong focus on time, budget and best practice project delivery.
  • Preparing quality, accurate and timely reports, documentation and correspondence for Project Working Groups, Executive Management Team, Capital Works Review, and Council meetings.
  • Plan and manage all project procurement activities in accordance with Frankston City Council policy.

About you

  • Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in civil engineering or related field
  • Demonstrated local government experience in successfully delivering Civil Infrastructure projects
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) including effective consultative and negotiation skills in the context of diverse stakeholders’ interests
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and organisational priorities

This position is a Band 7A currently remunerated at $111,878.12 per annum, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
