About the position
Council’s Youth Services Department is looking for a Practice Leader who will be responsible for leading the Youth Services team in the delivery of a diverse range of programs.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Providing supervision, coaching, and modelling best practice community engagement strategies for the Youth Services team
- Promoting Youth Services within the community to maximise youth engagement and participation, ensuring youth voices are central to service planning and development
- Development and implementation of inclusive programs, events, and activities based on proactive engagement with young people, including consultations and data analysis, to enhance inclusion and positive outcomes, particularly for disengaged, at-risk, and hard-to-engage young people.
About you
- You have relevant tertiary qualifications in community development, youth work, or a related field and/or extensive experience working in a community development or similar environment.
- Possess the ability to look at situations from many different angles, with a compassionate lens
- You appreciate a team who knows how to work hard, get the job done, and have some fun along the way!

This position is a Band 6 currently remunerated at $98,130 per annum, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
