About the position

Council’s Project Management Office in the Sustainable Assets Department is looking for a Project Officer who will be responsible for position objective.

The main responsibilities will include: 

  • To lead the delivery of Project Management Office (PMO) improvement projects to ensure Council’s project management practices demonstrate “Project Management Excellence”.
  • To provide specialist advice, expertise and promote the integration of project and program management into Council decision-making.
  • To support the development, monitoring and stewardship of the Annual Capital Works Program (CWP), Long Term Infrastructure Plan (LTIP) and Project Management Framework (PMF).

This is a temporary parental leave coverage full time position for a period of 12 months.

About you

As the ideal candidate, you will be a self-starter with an excellent record of achievement, have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, be a team player who is committed to providing guidance and support, achieving goals, meeting deadlines and drive continuous improvement.

You will have relevant skills and experience in the area of project management, administration or financial management (or other appropriate discipline), with a current Victorian Driver License.

This position is a Band 6A currently remunerated at $100,338.66 per annum, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
