About the position

Council’s Business and Information Technology Department is looking for an Applications Administrator who will be responsible for administering, supporting and actively seek out operational improvement opportunities for IT applications across council. 

The main responsibilities will include: 

  • Enhancing, maintaining and developing Council's applications, ensuring security, integrity, availability, optimum utilisation;
  • Providing backup administrative support and training of core Council applications when required;
  • Providing high level systems advice to software vendors, application owners and the Information Technology Operations team;
  • Identifying system integration opportunities to enhance business improvements;
  • Managing new and existing integrations; and
  • Acting as a business partner with key stakeholders to identify requirements, understanding pain points and implementing suitable enhancements.

This is a full-time position working 38 hours per week.

About you

As the successful candidate, you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology and/or substantial experience in IT application administration;
  • Demonstrated understanding of industry best practice in system administration;
  • Experience with business systems analysis and design of solutions;
  • Good working knowledge of data integrations;
  • A proactive problem solving approach; and
  • The ability to prioritise work across multiple applications.

This position is a Band 6 currently remunerated between $93,402 to $102,605 per annum, plus superannuation. Salary level will be based on the experience level of the candidate. Overtime will also be paid as required.
