About the position

Council’s Safer Communities Department is looking for a Safer Communities Officer who will be responsible for responding to and investigating reports of dumped rubbish.

The main responsibilities will include: 

  • Respond to and investigate instances of abandoned rubbish
  • Provide a high level of customer service
  • Utilize CCTV technology to deter and identify offenders 

 

About you

  • Proven experience in regulatory, enforcement or similar role
  • Experience in dealing with conflict and challenging situations
  • Current Victorian Driver Licence
  • Proven experience in applying legislation relevant to Local Laws, Victorian State Legislation and enforcement.

This position is a band 5 currently remunerated at $80,750.44 per annum, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
