About the position

Are you an experienced leader with a passion for parks and vegetation management? Join our Council's Operations team in a pivotal role as Coordinator, Parks and Vegetation on a full time basis.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to lead a high-performing team dedicated to maintaining and enhancing our community’s parks, gardens, and green spaces. As a supportive leader, you will guide and mentor your team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

The main responsibilities will include: 

  • Provide leadership and support to the Parks & Vegetation teams comprising of 85 staff members.
  • Key department representative on horticultural, trees, turf and natural reserves matters.

About you

  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and manage a dynamic team.
  • Strong knowledge of horticulture along with parks, natural reserves and vegetation management practices
  • Self-motivated with strong communication skills and a can-do approach
  • A commitment to high standards and continuous improvement
