About the position

Council’s Youth Services Department is looking for a Senior Youth Worker who will be responsible for delivering programs and activities to Frankston's youth community.

The main responsibilities will include: 

  • Delivery of the community-based youth engagement program, implementing flexible programs to young people aimed at strengthening connectedness with peers, family, and community
  • Maintain regular, face-to-face contact with young people, and actively involve young people in the planning, decision-making, and implementation of activities and programs
  • Strengthen opportunities for young people to engage and better participate in a range of community, cultural, social, and learning opportunities

 

This is a 12-month fixed-term part time role working 19 hours per week. Working days are flexible. 


About you

  • Demonstrated experience working with young people individually and in groups, including engaging with large groups
  • A proven ability to develop and deliver impactful, youth-based programs that effectively address the diverse needs of young people
  • Minimum of Certificate IV in Youth Work or a related discipline

This position is a Band 5 currently remunerated at $82,567.33 per annum (pro-rata), plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
