About the position

Council’s Family Health Support Services Department is looking for a Community Transport Officer.

The main responsibilities will include: 

  • Driving the bus for the Community Transport program which takes passengers on regular trips to a variety of locations including shopping centres, senior clubs, the Frankston Library, the Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre and exercise programs
  • Driving the bus for the Social Support Group Outings program and participating in social outings along with passengers and a volunteer
  • Provide high levels of customer service and support
  • Undertake administrative duties to ensure smooth running of the service

 

This is a part time role working 30.4 hours per week, over 4 days per week.    

About you

  • Experience driving a bus;
  • Ability to provide safe, friendly and supportive service to passengers, including older people and people with a disability;
  • Current Victorian heavy vehicle driver licence, minimum Light Rigid (LR) category; and
  • Current driver accreditation to drive a commercial passenger vehicle.

This position is a Band 4, remunerated at $74,536.73 (pro-rata), plus superannuation.
