About the position
Council’s Family Health Support Services Department is looking for an Educator Assistant (Certificate III) to join our team to deliver high-quality early childhood education and care. As an Educator Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in creating a service that is accessible, flexible, and responsive to the needs of families and our local community.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the delivery of a play-based education and care program that fosters children’s learning and development
- Creating a safe, healthy, and stimulating environment that meets each child’s individual needs
- Building warm, respectful relationships with children, parents, and carers
- Working collaboratively with a passionate team
This is a permanent full-time position.
About you
- A Certificate III in Children’s Services (as per the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations)
- Current First Aid, including Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting
- An understanding of the National Quality Framework
- A commitment to the wellbeing and development of children

This position is a Band 3 currently remunerated at $69,665.28per annum, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
