About the position

Council’s Family Health Support Services Department is looking for an Educator Assistant (Certificate 3) who will be responsible for providing a safe and stimulating environment for children and ensuring the provision of a quality service that is accessible, flexible and responsive to the needs of families and community.

The main responsibilities will include: 

  • Working in a team environment to support the implementation of an education and care program that supports children’s learning and development 
  • Providing an environment that caters for each child’s needs with regards to safety, health, nutrition, personal development and general well-being.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents and carers

This is a permanent full-time position.

About you

  • Minimum qualification in Certificate 3 Children’s Services, in accordance with the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 (National Law) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011.
  • Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting
  • A sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework

This position is a Band 3 currently $69,665.28 per annum, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
