About the position

Council’s Community Strengthening Department is looking for a Youth Worker!

The main responsibilities will include: 

  • Support the delivery of programs and activities which respond to the needs of young people
  • Actively involve young people in the decision making, planning, and implementation of activities and projects.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of local services and agencies relevant to young people.


This is a casual position with varying hours dependent on the needs of the service. 

About you

  • Certificate 4 in Youth Work or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience working with young people individually and in groups, in line with the Youth Affairs Council of Victoria’s Youth Participation Model
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence

This position is a Band 4A - $47.15 per hour, plus superannuation.
