About the position

Council’s Family Health Support Services Department is seeking an Educator Assistant Support to join our team! In this role, you’ll work alongside experienced educators to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children—all while completing your Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

The main responsibilities will include: 

  • Assist in supporting the delivery and implementation of an effective education and care program
  • Work positively and cooperatively with other educators
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents and families
  • Complete tasks as required to fulfil training institution requirements


This is a temporary part time position (32 hours) ending at completion of qualification. Days and hours will be negotiated based on requirement for training institution delivering the Certificate 3 training.

About you

This position is ideal for someone who is looking to work part-time, whilst undertaking a Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care. No previous early years experience is required, just a passion to educate and care for children from birth to school age and be a part of a dedicated and supportive team!

This position is a Band 2C currently remunerated at $66,775.51 (pro rata) per annum, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
