About the role 

Council’s Natural Reserves Department is looking for an Assistant Ranger who will be responsible for delivering horticultural maintenance programs within coastal and bushland areas. The position will be situated within the Operations Department.

The main responsibility will include: 

  • Implementing maintenance programs to enhance biodiversity and horticultural presentation within coastal reserves and public open space in accordance with best practice flora and fauna management techniques and utilising specialist plant and equipment.

This is a full time role working 38 hours per week.

About you

As the successful candidate, you will have:

  • A certificate II or II in Natural Resource Management or related discipline and/or equivalent experience;
  • Experience maintaining and enhancing parks and conservation areas; and
  • A strong understanding of safe work practices.

This position is a Band 2 currently remunerated between $63,412 per annum plus superannuation.
