Frankston City Council is seeking an experienced and passionate Community Development Professional to lead the Frankston Social Inclusion Action Group (SIAG) for a 12-month, full-time parental leave cover, commencing in April 2025.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to drive a community-led initiative designed to foster connection, inclusion, and positive mental health for people of all ages and backgrounds. The Frankston SIAG was established as part of a flagship prevention initiative following the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System, recognising that local communities are best placed to support wellbeing, connection and mental health.
As the Social Inclusion Project Manager, you will play a key role in empowering the Frankston SIAG to deliver real impact in the community.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support the Frankston SIAG, ensuring it thrives as a community-driven initiative.
- Drive and successfully guide delivery of a three-year action plan.
- Facilitate collaboration and community-based decision-making, empowering community members.
- Oversee the program’s budget and guide the Frankston SIAG in allocating funding for impactful initiatives.
- Manage projects, assess risks, and support program delivery to ensure success.
About You
You’re a proactive, collaborative leader with:
- Demonstrated expertise in community development and mental health promotion/prevention.
- Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills to engage and empower diverse community members.
- A passion for driving social inclusion and fostering meaningful connections.
Experience in project management, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement.

This position is a Band 6 currently remunerated at $98,130.72 per annum, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
