About the position

Council’s Capital Works Delivery Department is looking for a Project Manager who will be responsible for delivering a range of capital works projects.

The main responsibilities will include: 

• Responsible for the development and delivery of assigned civil projects based on a whole-of-life project life cycle including: planning, scoping, community engagement, design, construction, practical completion and handover.
• Responsible for all aspects of procurement including preparation of consultant briefs, design briefs, quotation and tender documentation, procurement planning for assigned projects.
• Responsible for managing tendering process including contract negotiation with suppliers and contractors
• Responsible for ensuring projects meet Council’s specifications and contractual obligations.

About you

• Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent experience in the industry.
• Demonstrated experience in project management, contract management, budget management, procurement and community engagement.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including listening, communication, customer service and conflict resolution.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, self-directed environment.
• Current Victorian Drivers Licence.

This position is a Band 6A currently remunerated at $100,338.66 per annum, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
