About the position
Council’s Community Strengthening Department is looking for a Community Grants Officer who will provides support to the administration of the Community Grants Program and Frankston Charitable Fund. The role will also flexibly provide support to the broader Community Programs team and initiatives.
The main responsibilities will include:
- Administer and support the Community Grants Program and Frankston Charitable Fund.
- Assist applicants through the grants process.
- Maintain records and reporting in SmartyGrants.
- Coordinate meetings, events, and capacity-building activities.
- Contribute to policy reviews and community consultation.
- Contribute to the broader programs and initiatives of the Community Programs team.
This is a temporary full-time position ending in November 2026.

- Community development experience and/or qualifications
- Ability to engage with diverse community groups and individuals.
- The ability to work collaboratively and gain co-operation and assistance from the community and other employees.
- Ability to create detailed and accurate reporting

This position is a Band 5 currently remunerated at $82,567.33 per annum pro rata, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
