About the position

Council is looking for a Festivals and Major Events Officer within the Arts and Culture Department who will be responsible for assisting with the successful planning and delivering of Council-run festivals and major events, positioning Frankston as an arts, culture, and event destination.  Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing event administration and operational support to the broader team, including preparation of reports and presentations.
  • Providing advice and guidance to external event organisers looking to run their events in Frankston City, via the event application process. 
  • Assisting with implementing new systems and processes and identifying efficiencies.

About you

  • Formal qualification in Event Management, or a related field and/or substantial years of relevant experience in Event Management.
  • You thrive in a creative space, enjoy problem solving, and demonstrate initiative.
  • You have exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
  • You enjoy a fast-paced environment and contributing to all facets of event planning and delivery including the demands required on event days.
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence.

This position is a Band 5A currently remunerated at $80,750.44 per annum, plus superannuation.
