About the position

Council’s Business & Information Technology Department is looking for an Application Administrator to ensure the smooth, secure and efficient operation of the organisations business applications.  

The main responsibilities will include: 

  • Administer, maintain and enhance Council’s corporate applications to ensure security, integrity, availability and optimal utilisation.
    Provide timely technical support and incident/outage management, working with IT Operations, Networks and vendors to restore service and minimise disruption.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to capture requirements, identify pain points and deliver application improvements and change-managed upgrades/patching.
  • Manage integrations and data flows between systems (including APIs and data import/export), and maintain process maps, documentation, knowledge articles and training materials.

About you

We are seeking a proactive and detail-orientated professional who combines technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant IT qualification and or certifications, or demonstrated proven experience in a similar Administrator role. You will possess clear, professional verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience managing stakeholders and vendors.

You will be comfortable balancing changing priorities with a fast-pased environment and have strong working knowledge of ICT systems, including Local Government Management System, Finance, Event Management, Asset Management, Payroll, Work Force Management (WFM) and Document Management platforms.  Experience with system integrations, databases and experience in using process mapping and troubleshooting is essential.

Hands-on experience using Helpdesk or similar platforms including triaging and managing service requests is also a key requirement.

This position is a Band 6A currently remunerated at $100,338.66 per annum, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
