About the Position
Council’s Family Health Support Services Department – Access & Social Support Team is looking for a Community Transport Officer to support the delivery of programs that enhance social participation and improve the wellbeing of eligible residents of Frankston City.
In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating Council mini-buses and assisting in the delivery of transport and social support programs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving buses for the Community Transport program, transporting passengers on regular trips to locations such as shopping centres, senior clubs, the Frankston Library and the Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre;
- Operating buses for the Outings program, supporting group excursions and fostering social connections among passengers with the support of a volunteer.
- Completing passenger reports and performing administrative tasks to support service delivery.
This is a part-time role (0.6 FTE) based at the Operations Centre, 3A Buna Avenue, Seaford, working 22.8 hours across Monday, Thursday and Friday each week.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A current Victorian Heavy Vehicle Licence, minimum Light Rigid (LR) Category;
- Current driver accreditation to operate a commercial passenger vehicle issued by Commercial Passenger Vehicles Victoria;
- A current Police Check and Working with Children Check;
- Level 2 First Aid qualification;
- Relevant computer skills to support rostering and client management systems;
- Qualifications and/or experience in Aged Care, Disability Services, Community Services or Leisure and Health;
- Experience working with frail aged people and people with disabilities, including passenger transport
- Proven ability to provide leadership, maintain a positive culture, and uphold professional standards in all environments.

This position is Band 4, currently remunerated at $74,536.73 per annum (pro-rata), plus superannuation.
